About me

I'm a Geophysicist originally from El Tigre, Anzoátegui, Venezuela. In 2010, I obtained the degree of Geophysical Engineer from the Simón Bolívar University, Caracas, Venezuela. Then I moved to Japan, where I obtained my M.Sc. (2014) and Ph.D. (2017) degrees in Sciences with a focus on crustal deformation. I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience, Japan.

My research

The focus of my research is the analysis of crustal deformation using geodetic tools such as GPS and satellite images. I am specifically interested in understanding the mechanism of concentration of intraplate deformation.
